John Biebel is a graduate of the Cooper Union, NYC where he studied painting and photography. He's lived in New York City, London, and Boston. He currently lives in Cranston, Rhode Island, just south of Providence, with a studio in Pawtucket, RI. Aside from painting, he works as a product design manager for Imprivata (Waltham, MA) and as a freelance writer for the scent website Fragrantica. He is also started the perfume line January Scent Project in 2015. He is a founding member of Subforum, a Cambridge-based design research collective that tackles important questions about human interaction with technology.
